For me, the F-Type V8 put to rest the whole "slo car fast vs fast car slo" mentality. Driving that thing in low speeds in traffic with that exhaust was much more fun than driving a manual base Civic at full throttle. The exhaust burble even when going easy and being respectful was just so intoxicating on the Jag. I am looking into the 2022's F type base model as a daily driver my only concern is that if its reliable as a daily driver. To give some background info, I have a secondary car (2022 Toyota Hybrid) so I am not worried about days that I can't drive the car or about if something happens to the car. For me Jaguar died in the late 70s, all of their best road cars were from the 40s to the 60s and a couple in the 70s. The current lineup is just bland as hell to me, the F-Type is the only one I would be seen dead in and it's a pretty cool car but the rest just seem so ugly and bloated looking, I just don't get it. It has come time for me to purchase a car and I have included in my search some Jaguar F-types. I am located in the SF Bay Area. So initially, I found these at a local dealership. 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible @ 68k miles @ $30,888. 2014 Jaguar F-Type S Convertible @ 44k miles @ $32,888. 2014 Jaguar F-TYPE V8 S Convertible @ 24k miles @ $37,888 To get a Porsche with similar specs to the base Jag, you’re looking at at least $120k, and that’s before we get to the F-Type R. The F-Type R, with 575 horsepower, 575 lb ft of torque starts around $103k - to come close to that level of power in a Porsche, you’d need the 911 Turbo (which only has 572 horsepower incidentally) and starts at by jmoosec2. Looking for something loud and fast. I'm stuck in the in-between and can't afford a super AR. So after much research I've narrowed it down to these two very different but similar cars. I love the power of the hellcat and the beauty and sound of the f-type V8. However, every other day I wake up and have my decision made on one of them. 2003 Jaguar S-Type Hi!, i just joined this community to seek and seers and probably advice and help. So i just turned 18 a couple months ago, and i’m purchasing my very first own vehicle, which is a 2003 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 with 80k miles (one owner, an old lady). BSL0.
